Outliers: The Story of Success (2009)

Outliers is a really good book from Malcolm Gladwell, I enjoyed it reading it. Now I feel like reading the last one from him called Blink.
Here there are some quotes from the book that I like.
“Practice isn't the thing you do once you're good. It's the thing you do that makes you good.”
“Those three things - autonomy, complexity, and a connection between effort and reward - are, most people will agree, the three qualities that work has to have if it is to be satisfying.”
“Who we are cannot be separated from where we're from.”
“It is those who are successful, in other words, who are most likely to be given the kinds of special opportunities that lead to further success. It’s the rich who get the biggest tax breaks. It’s the best students who get the best teaching and most attention. And it’s the biggest nine- and ten-year-olds who get the most coaching and practice. Success is the result of what sociologists like to call “accumulative advantage.”

Free Call

I want to share with you a voip service called www.freecall.com, the rates are really low, even lower than in skype.
And the thing that I love is that they give you 90 days of free calls to some countries (landlines). I have been using it to call Spain and it works really well, no problems at all.
The software that I use with my Macbook is iSoftPhone.

Manuel

Stay Hungry. Stay Foolish.

Some quotes from Steve Jobs.
"If you live each day as if it was your last, someday you'll most certainly be right."
"If today were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I am about to do today?" And whenever the answer has been "No" for too many days in a row, I know I need to change something"
Steve you change my point of view about computers, I thank him for it.

Anatomy of the Spirit (1996)

This morning in Reus Airport I just finished reading the Anatomy of the Spirit, a book that Margo recommend me a while ago. The book is interesting, but I found some parts difficult to understand with all the names of those of good´s.
Anyway, right now I´m in John Lennon Airport on the way to Athlone with  new projects facing my future.
